About [Edit]
The Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) is a
new global initiative aimed at supporting and
scaling up on-going and new initiatives on
systematic, innovative, pro-poor, affordable
and gender sensitive land tools. The GLTN was
officially launched at the third session of
the World Urban Forum in Vancouver on June
20, 2006. The main objective of the GLTN is
to facilitate the attainment of the
Millennium Declaration and the Millennium
Development Goals (MDGs), particularly Goal
7, Target 11 on improving the lives of slum
dwellers and Goal 3 on gender equality and
women's empowerment.
