Our mission is to conduct innovative research and provide public education on the role and structure of public and private institutions in a democratic society. We aim to address the causes, not just the symptoms, of societal problems.



The word Aurora is Latin for dawn, evoking new beginnings, illumination, change and hope.

The Aurora Institute takes a new approach to the challenge the corporation poses to Canada and the world. At the Aurora Institute, we shed light on the very structure of the corporation as a cause of the political, social, economic and environmental symptoms we face in modern society. Further, we foster alternatives and remedies suited to our increasingly market-driven society.



We are dedicated to increasing public awareness of the corporate structure and to fostering a paradigm shift from corporate responsibility to reform.
