Das 1993 gegründete europäische forum für migrationsstudien (efms) ist ein wissenschaftliches Institut an der Universität Bamberg. Seine Themenbereiche sind Migration und Integration in Europa. Die Aufgaben des efms umfassen Forschung, Politikberatung, Gutachtertätigkeit, Evaluation, Weiterbildung, Information und Dokumentation.

Forschung und Dienstleistung
Durch sozialwissenschaftliche, interdisziplinäre Forschung will das efms die Kenntnisse und das Verstehen der sozialen Phänomene Migration und Integration verbessern.
