About Us



ACER is charitable organization which was founded in 1987. Members are leaders in education, media and business who initiate and faciliate development, production and promotion of Canadian materials to meet the needs of to-day`s learners.

ACER funding comes from membership and donations. All project funds are monitored by an advisory board. Reasonable fees and expenses are paid to those working on projects. Members donate many hours of their time to assist in various projects.



Ideas are evaluated, funding sought, materials produced and promoted for use by educators and other interested groups or agencies. ACER acts as a bridge between the professional educator and the materials needed to promote lifelong learning. ACER funding comes from membership and donations. All project funds are monitored by an advisory board. Reasonable fees and expenses are paid to those working on projects. Members donate many hours of their time to assist in various projects.



Projects



We are involved in biodiversity monitoring and treeplanting projects in Ontario. Are you a member of a naturalist club, community group or school who would like to start a naturalization or monitoring project? Here are some of the options.



Measure Up is a monitoring program focussed on trees and specifically designed to be carried out by volunteers, yet yield data useful to scientists. It is based on plots or quadrats which are set up and measured. Measure Up has three components:
