World Press Photo was founded in 1995 as an independent, non-profit organization. Based in the Netherlands, this foundation organizes the world's largest annual press photography contest, whose winner photographs are exhibited in 45 countries. Wolrd Press Photo also estimulates developments in photojournalism and organizes the Joop Swart Masteclass.
