OVF Ghana's strategy is to develop oneVillage Initiative through income generating enterprises. The proceeds from these ventures will fund the development of Multipurpose Community and Unity Centers. These centers will facilitate and promote integrated/multi-sectorial development approaches as consistent with the development model put forward in our OVI approach. This program in Ghana will demonstrate the compelling need for integrated and whole systems approaches to development at the grassroots level.
Information & communications technologies (ICT) are powerful tools to help Ghana rapidly develop its economy. This includes increasing collaboration and access to ICT in under-served communities through secondary and tertiary education, technology education, community empowerment, health monitoring and education, resources accessibility, economic development, facilitating local content creation and dissemination, and building bridges among digital communities locally.
Considerable time and effort in have been invested ICT for Development efforts in Ghana. This includes a leadership role in the formation of national ICT policies focusing on youth and organizing youth activists. Our ICT augmented development and training programs put personal development and team building at the forefront of this effort.
Goals:
- Increase the access to ICT in under-served communities to address the digital divide and increase economic opportunity.
- Accelerate local content creation and dissemination ensuring Ghana's Voice is heard within the global society.
- Promote community oriented sustainable development model for Ghana.
- Develop Sports People that Care into pro-active approach to HIV/AIDS.
