About  [Edit]

The Ethos Foundation is a not for profit Foundation engaged in education and environmental care. We are at the heart of the Ethos Centre, an educational and restorative retreat within The Ridge on Binna Burra eco-village.

The Ethos Foundation exists to provide inspiration and renewal for the people who are working to make a better world.

Our vision is of a more just, peaceful and ecologically sustainable world.

Our mission is to cultivate effective new thinking, values and action for a more positive, ecologically sustainable future. Our work facilitates and promotes education for sustainability: personal, professional, organizational and social.

Our work goes forward in many ways including:

- Workshops and learning programs

- Industry forums, courageous conversations and specialist conferences

- Community building, cultural and creative development

- On-line communities and resources

- On-ground demonstration projects in built environment and land care

- Alliancing and relationship building

- Consulting services, research and semi-autonomous projects
