Seascape Research and Education is a not-for-profit effort based in Bequia, a small island of the Vincentian Grenadines in the Caribbean. Its purpose...to unite individuals representing different nations, cultures and disciplines in a common effort of practical environmental protection. Currently, Seascape`s primary effort is the EARTHSHIP program. EARTHSHIP is designed to be a self-sufficient, multinational and multidisciplinary program based aboard the 200ft. tall ship EMPIRE SANDY. Through practical monitoring and research, combined with education, film and the arts, EARTHSHIP will contribute to the "wise use" of local resources, while providing a valuable and positive experience for individuals from around the world, where they can explore the bond they share with nature, as well as the bond they share with each other.
