The main purpose of ALTER ECO - Communicating through Media is to give a voice to social issues through media resources and non formal education actions. ALTER ECO is using the media formats as a tool to effectively approach the social problems and reinforce the media involvements in social realities as civil actor.



ALTER ECO – Communicating through Media´´ is a non governmental organization created by a group of professional in the media and social field.



ALTER ECO is promoting activities addressed to young professionals in the social, media and communication area aimed to inform sensibly the public opinion and civil society about the social problems derivate from human rights abuses, social exclusion and xenophobia, corruption and disrespected of any democratic practices and basic human rights.



ALTER ECO activities are focus on:



- Creation of independent media formats (publications, bulletins, documentaries, radio)



- Development of regional, international networking projects in the field of social, media and communication



- Providing resources in consulting and advising within communication field



- Training of young professionals in the social and communication field
