AYM works for the cause of women and for the physical, educational, economic, social and intellectual development of women and children. To achieve this aim it conducts various activities including a library and a reading room, training in tailoring, music, arranging lectures, debates and literacy meetings and festival congregations. It also runs a hostel for working women and welfare centres for women and children in the villages.
