About  [Edit]

The world’s woodlands provide a major life support system for the planet, converting atmospheric carbon dioxide back into oxygen. They are home to plants and animals that are rare and endangered. Trees and forests provide life-saving medicines and new drugs to combat disease. Ten percent of the world’s tree species are under threat of extinction. Across the globe 15 million hectares of forest are destroyed every year. We campaign to reduce deforestation and fund tree planting to restore lost woodlands. We help the world’s poorest communities to improve their conditions and local environments and we actively promote tree planting as a way of making the world a better place now, and for generations to come.

80 years old and still working towards a world richer in trees, by planting, preserving and educating people on the value of trees worldwide!! We are a UK registered charity and do not receive government funding. In the UK, ITF members work in their local communities. On a global scale, ITF tree planting grants help the world`s poorest environments and societies.

Trees make a landscape both more beautiful and more varied as well as providing environmental benefits and supporting other life forms.
