Mission Statement
Concerned Citizens for Smart Growth will promote smart growth and encourage appropriately scaled commercial and residential development that will preserve the character of the Town of Ballston and its neighboring communities.
Goals:
Prevent big box retail development by urging the Town to enact zoning laws that set retail building size caps at 60,000 square feet.
Advocate for a thorough review and complete update of the Comprehensive Master Plan for the Town of Ballston under protection of a moratorium on major building projects.
Involve the community in the revision and updating of the Comprehensive Master Plan.
Promote understanding within the community of smart growth principles and the negative consequences of unplanned growth.
