About  [Edit]

North Carolina Community Shares, a coalition of over thirty nonprofit community-based organizations in our state, raises money for social justice work through workplace giving programs.

The members of North Carolina Community Shares are speaking out for our state's environment, for equal rights and opportunities for all people, and for the voice of all citizens in important decisions from education and lending practices to health care and reproductive rights.

Since 1988, communities all across North Carolina have joined together to create over $2 million in contributions to social justice efforts through North Carolina Community Shares. We invite you to be a part of creating a North Carolina that places priorities on people and their communities.

Through North Carolina Community Shares you can help create safe jobs that pay a living wage, protect our air and water, fund affordable health care that respects choice, support literacy programs, sustain public radio, and ensure that all North Carolinians have access to justice.

When you support North Carolina Community Shares and its member agencies, you're doing more than giving -- you're helping people and their communities find solutions to their problems, right here at home.
