About [Edit]
Our Mission:
It is AfroNeth's mission to stimulate and increase the participation by Africans from the Diaspora in the economic and social development of Africa.
AfroNeth believes the development of Africa depends to a large extent on Africans themselves and on a new partnership between Africans living in Africa and abroad.
It is our vision to bring together Africans in the international Diaspora and Africans on the continent and to inspire a new synergy between them for the benefit of Africa.
AfroNeth believes such African leadership and partnership will flourish best in a supportive atmosphere whereby Western stakeholders are prepared to invest in African led policies and programs under a mutually agreed set of conditions relating to human rights, good governance and especially civil society and grassroot participation
It is AfroNeth's policy to work with few permanent employees and to outsource its activities to external African consultants. Alternative View, a Dutch communication group for NGO's, was hired for strategic and financial advice and to guide the development of the organisation (www.alternativeview.nl). Other African consultants, such as Sahan Consultancy and Lulessa Abadura were hired to undertake specific program activities.
