ARCA Brasil is internationally known for introducing new perspectives to the animal status and welfare in the country. During the last few years, symposiums, conferences and other events organized by ARCA have marked the beginning of the transition of cats and dogs into pets.



Also the organization’s Pet Population Control Project launched 7 years ago - the first to congregate animal control, private vets and humane society - was recognized by PAHO/WHO and set the standard to similar initiatives throughout Brazil. HSUS-HSI, Doris Day Animal Foundation, The Fund for Animals, The Elephant Alliance and many other organizations are regular invited speakers at those meetings.
