About Us

Founded in 1996 by Utah scientists and conservationists, Wild Utah Project works in close collaboration with The Wildlands Project, our 501[c][3] sponsor. The Wild Utah Project seeks to restore and maintain our region`s part of the Great Basin and Colorado Plateau ecosystems through the design and eventual establishment of a connected system of Wildlands Networks. Contributing to this network design, Wild Utah Project is engaged with land managers and the local scientific community. We also provide scientific and computerized mapping [GIS] support to Utah conservation organizations that are in need of such services.
