The Thai Child Development Foundation is set up with one simple aim: the happiness and development of children. the foundation is located in Thailand, in a little village called Paksong in Chumpon province.
The foundation tries to achieve their aim by a number of projects, devided over the two branches of the foundation: Social branch and Educational branch.
Social branch:
1. Foster parent project, a safe house for kids to live in a family situation
2. Nutritious project, providing food to families that cannot affort enough food
3. Scolarships. Financial help for children who - otherwise - cannot go to school
4. Emergency project. Aimed mainly on financial help with medical programs
5. Handicapped children project. Support and medical care for mentally and physically dissabled children in the area.
All work in the projects of the Social branch is done by Thai people (staff and volunteers).
Educational branch:
1. Education. Several educational programs on creative learning, environmental awareness and language, like:
- Volunteer project in local schools, focussed on English conversation
- Farming project on our premises, based on sustainable living and self sustainability
- Leadershipskill projects for young Thai adult, based on communication, projectleading and English language
- Activities with children on Saturday and during schoolholidays, based on game, fun, sport, English
The foundation works with volunteers from all over the world in the projects organized by the Educational branch.
