ACA`s Mission:
Alaska Conservation Alliance empowers citizens and organizations to participate effectively in the civic arena, and informs public officials, media and the public about environmental, economic, and community issues.
Inside ACA:
The ACA mission statement identifies some of the specific ways in which ACA strengthens the ability of conservationists to protect Alaska`s environment. ACA is the only statewide forum that unites the Alaska conservation community for maximum impact and effectiveness. ACA`s activities include, but not necessarily be limited to:
Advocacy
Study of voter information and enhancement of nonpartisan citizen participation as ways to strengthen public advocacy.
Outreach to build coalitions on some issues of common concern.
Policy
Establishment of issue groups and leadership forums for developing coordinated strategies addressing current and incipient conservation concerns.
Member Organization Support
Leadership and technical training programs for citizen conservation leaders and volunteers.
Assistance to member groups that wish to build capacity and increase the effectiveness of their organizations.
Network building.
Encouragement of trust and cohesiveness among environmental groups and conservation volunteers.

Fully functional organization with diverse funding base.
Public Attitude
Public education and dissemination of high quality information about environmental issues.
