Aakash foundation is a non-government, non-profit, non-political organization working in the remotest areas of punjab. above the caste, creed, religion and other group boundaries. Aakash Foundation is registered as a CCB under (SBMP) local government ordinance No-Punjab XIV of 2000 and (SBMP) local government Aakash Foundation Rules 2002. The program area Lahore is one of the poorest districts of Pakistan and 70 % of the population lives in rural areas. Vision To create an environment where development opportunities are available to all the people of the area without any distinction of gender. Mission Statement To reduce poverty, improve quality of life and empower low-income communities of the program area on sustainable basis. Objectives · Enabling women and men to participate meaningfully in collective action to improve their livelihoods · Creating opportunities enabling women to access quality social sector services · Building capacity of Citizen Community Board Food Gudam to implement gender sensitized programs · Building capacity of Community key activists to promote gender equality We need of Funds for Health, Rural women Empowerment and Development project
