Several of us are coming together to plan events for the International Day of Solidarity with Political Prisoners to occur on December 3, 2006, as called for by the Bay Area Jericho Movement, the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, and the GABRIELA Network. We believe that the presence of numerous political prisoners is a strong reminder that very little has changed since the 1960s in terms of social justice. Hopefully, planning for the Dec. 3rd event will provide a spark for a more long-term project.
