WAG is an autonomous, non–profit, non-governmental organization established under Society Registration Act of Nepal in 2001. It is also affiliated with Social Welfare Council. WAG is a group of experts specialized in biodiversity conservation, laws and environment science. The main objective is to support for the protection of wildlife.



OBJECTIVES:

Monitor illegal trade on wildlife and their products.

Carry out animal welfare program, especially for captive animals.

Advocacy and sensitization for wildlife protection.

Support to develop law and policy for biodiversity conservation.

Coordinate with governmental, as well as national and international organizations for environmental protection.

Implement conservation programs at field level.

Lobbying for implementing International commitment.

Organize Conservation Education program.

Organize trainings, workshops, and seminars.

Carry out study and research on environmental issues.
