We've seen extraordinary increases in land values, and unprecedented construction. And, as the supply of vacant land diminishes, the resulting high real estate values strain financial resources for land conservation and change the look, the feel, the soul of our community.



Our Mission

Sarasota Conservation Foundation works to protect the character and natural integrity of Sarasota County. The Foundation accomplishes this mission to protect the environment, character and biodiversity of Sarasota County's bays, beaches and barrier islands by:



- Holding conservation easements and owning nature preserves

- Educating for responsible land stewardship

- Collaborating with individuals, organizations and communities
