About [Edit]
The California State Parks Foundation is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to protecting, enhancing and advocating for California’s magnificent State Parks.
The Foundation raises funds from members, corporations and foundations to improve and expand park programs and facilities, with special emphasis on environmental education, diversity, volunteerism and stewardship. Through advocacy, the Foundation educates the public, media and elected officials of the great contributions our 278 State Parks make to the quality of life in California. The preservation of our precious parklands is essential to serving the needs of California’s increasingly urbanized population.
The Foundation and its members are committed to ensuring that State Parks continue to provide recreation, adventure, renewal and inspiration to all Californians.
We are the voice of California’s State Parks. Working with citizens, lawmakers, and community and business leaders, we advocate for adequate funding and protection of the resources that help our parks thrive.
Our non-profit foundation supports environmental education, wildlife and habitat preservation, volunteerism, and sound park policy. And we raise funds to ensure that our State Parks continue to be the places where cherished memories are made—and revisited. We are the only statewide organization dedicated to preserving our magnificent State Parks.
