The Atlantic Rain Forest needs to survive and grow.



Environmental Recovery

Rebuilt the forest ecosystem of the region, rebuilt different forms of intervention, recovering the ecological processes, and contributing to the maintenance of local biodiversity.Within the Bulcão Farm area, the aim is to plant 600 hectares of native plants of the Atlantic rainforest from the region and to recover the water from Bulcão and Constancia streams and from other springs.

In the region, recover in native forests the minimum of 20% obliged by law and recover the river basis. Create ecological corridors to facilitate the traffic in the fauna. Monitor the various activities.





Environmental Education

It is essential to educate people in the ecological interactions, as well as being able to have some critical consideration on the current model of development.

Through the Educational Center for Environmental Recovery [CERA], teach courses in theme modules such as environmental degradation, ecology, forest management, agro ecology, silviculture, permaculture, environmental education, fighting fires and others.

The strategy is to work the audience that give certain importance to diffusion of environmental ideas, high school teachers as well as the Landless Movement ones, mayors, environment secretaries, political and civil society leaders and, mainly, the rural producers.



Scientific Research

Test and evaluate techniques for forest recovery.

Methodology: recovery of degraded areas in the Atlantic rainforest, through low cost techniques and strong community participation, evaluating ecological processes established in the remaining areas and monitoring the recovered farms through environmental quality patterns, as indicators of vegetation, fauna water and soil.

Develop new technologies in the use of seeds and nursery and the recovery of degraded areas.

Documents on reforestation techniques and rehabilitation of the ecosystem in the Atlantic Forest, fauna and flora. Recovery of water. Silviculture. Organic fertilizers.



Sustainable Development

The aim is to promote the sustainable development at the borough of Aimorés with its communities, taking actions that aim at sustainable and rational planning and placement of the area through:



Reforestation of the legal 20% of the area in rural properties in tops of hills, springs and ciliated forests.

Formation of cooperatives among small producers.

Diffusion of technology.

Elaboration of productive chains.

Development of agro ecological systems.

Forming and training agricultural producers.

Technical guiding.

Development of homemade products and crafts.

Reinforcement of rural health and education.

Increasing income and occupation with the population.
