Mission

Furthering sustainable communities and food systems. The Henry A. Wallace Center has been a key organization in fostering a more sustainable food and agricultural system in the U.S. since 1983. Today, the Center continues to provide leadership in program design and implementation, policy analysis, research, and technical assistance to further the development of sustainable and equitable agriculture and food systems. Activities focus on engaging market forces through social enterprise, community based food systems, and alternative marketing channels to link urban and rural communities. The Center hosts national conferences and works at the community, state, and national level to build capacity to impact the food and agricultural environment.
