About  [Edit]

PermaLot was established as a Czech civic association in the year 2000. PermaLot owns 10hectares of forest, meadows, fields and orchards accredited as a land trust, certified organic and managing following permaculture principles. In addition we manage another 7 hectares nearby according to same guidelines.

We use this wiserearth site to network our activities within Natural Building, which is of international character: In regards to all the other PermaLot issues we made a decision to keep a local focus, and thus don't need this English site network for it...

During 2009 a central aim is to establish a School of Natural Building for the Central European Countries in Bouzov Podoli, and we welcome any experienced builders touring Europe: We'll be happy to organize that you teach a course here!

The overall mission of PermaLot is:

PermaLot seek to recreate the sustainability of an existing traditional rural village, by facilitating an alternative economic base for the area while providing a living example of sustainable living, natural building, alternative energy and waste management; an Ecovillage.

This vision is based on the following core elements:
- To stimulate the final processing of local products within the microregion
- To facilitate alternative education, with an emphasis on the environment and language
- Low impact Eco-tourism

Please don't come unannounced.
