About Us

Livability Project is an emerging non-profit organization sponsored by the Pacifica Environmental Family. Our focus is to help individuals, communities and organizations evolve from an era of cheap natural resources to one of renewable energy and sustainable life practices. We do this by raising awareness through documentary film screenings and speaker events; developing vision by designing neighborhood Livability roadmaps; and moving from vision to action by implementing projects such as Biodiesel co-ops, energy conservation retrofits, edible community gardens, permaculture workshops and more!

Vision

By 2010, sustainability practices* will be mainstream in all major U.S. cities.

Mission We instigate positive environmental, economic and community change by raising awareness, creating neighborhood sustainability roadmaps and by modeling local projects after we have successfully implemented them ourselves.
