Community Alliance for Global Justice believes that the global economy should embody the core values of social justice, environmental sustainability, democracy and self-determination.
Provide a dependable, credible voice in the local media countering "free trade" propaganda, and promoting "fair trade" alternatives
Educate local communities about globalization, local impacts, and ways to get involved in the opposition.
Pressure legislators to oppose "free trade" measures (such as Fast Track negotiating authority, Free Trade Area of the Americas, World Bank/Int'l Monetary Fund structural adjustment, etc.)
Research and publicize local impacts of globalization, and alternatives
Liaise between local organizations already addressing these issues, and
Build and mobilize its membership for demonstrations and other action.
