COOLmob households have already saved 1000 tonnes of CO2 - that's enough to fill the NT Parliament House 24 times! We hope to save enough CO2 to fill Parliament House 36 times by June 2007
----------------------
Having a COOLmob home energy audit may help your household save 3 tonnes of greenhouse gases and hundreds of dollars off your power bills!
----------------------
Over 300 households in the Darwin area have already joined COOLmob!

Who are we?

COOLmob is a project organised by volunteers from the Darwin community working together to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions through improved home energy efficiency, reduced car usage and less waste going to landfill.

The Community Steering Committee meets monthly. Members in May 2006 included:

* Johanna Kieboom (Steering Committee Coordinator)
* Thea Bray (COOLmob Project Manager)
* Frieda Evans
* Clare Pries
* Gordon Roberts
* Gary Scott
* Tony Rossiter

We also have a number of community members who we have trained to be Home Energy Auditors. Our Home Energy Auditors are people with an interest in energy conservation who get paid to complete audits in their after hours time. Project funds subsidise the audits and we ask waged households to contribute $10 to their audit costs. We have a police check done for our auditors.
