Our committee was formed in 1987 by a group of community leaders and commercial fishermen, who wanted to improve Barramundi stocks within the vast Burdekin region. We were incorporated in 1997 and today we have over 70 members from all walks of life.



Objectives:



To create, maintain and monitor a sustainable fishery in the Lower Burdekin Floodplain as well as Lake Dalrymple (Burdekin Dam)



To increase and maintain a level of fish stock in the district to provide for the requirements of this generation and future generations for recreational and commercial fishing.
