About  [Edit]

Overview

Community Resource Group is a multi-state rural development organization established in 1975 to help people in the rural South build hometown futures by seeking long-term solutions to community-wide problems. Our primary areas of expertise are development of water and wastewater systems, lending related to water and wastewater, community transportation, and low income housing.

These elements comprise CRG:

* Water and Waste Disposal

* Shelter

* Transportation

* Access to Credit

* Land Tenure

* Public Policy

CRG Goals and Objectives

As the name implies, CRG exists as a resource for communities. Our programs and activities are focused upon small and rural communities, and, those communities that may be the least able to help themselves. We focus on helping resolve community-wide problems and needs, such as the lack of an affordable public drinking water source or waste disposal service for local residents. Our goal is not only to help rural communities solve problems, but in so doing improve the quality of life for residents, and leave the community in a better position to make decisions that will meet the challenges of the future.
