About [Edit]
Explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth
Practice and promote the responsible use of the earth`s ecosystems and resources
Educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment
Use all lawful means to carry out these objectives
Campaigns
Green fleets dollars and cents
One of the most persuasive arguments for having our local governments buy more fuel efficient vehicles is that they cost less over their lifetimes than many of the conventional vehicles currently in government fleets. Intuitively, this makes sense.
Sprawl Costs Us All Campaign
Volunteers on the Sprawl Costs Us All campaign are working to change all that. We are educating the public about the many costs of sprawl, we are joining forces with neighbors who are fighting to protect their communities from road and development projects that encourage sprawl, and we are working to enact a statewide initiative to give people the power to stop bad development changes from harming their communities.
Voter Education
It is our goal to arm you with the tools to talk to your friends about the dismal environmental record of this administration, tell them how this will effect their lives, and to encourage everyone to vote for change in 2004.
