The Community Foundation mission is to shape the future of Southwest Washington through philanthropy.
We do so by receiving and managing funds to build a permanent endowment that addresses the unmet needs of our community. We grant funds to support worthy projects in the areas of social and human services, arts and culture, education, and quality of life.
We provide a flexible way for donors, with varied philanthropic desires, to effect positive changes in their particular areas of interest.
We act as a leader in the local community, identifying and exploring important issues and concerns, and shaping effective responses.
- a collection of more than 200 charitable funds established with current and bequest gifts from the generous citizens of Southwest Washington
- a service for giving that provides flexibility to meet a broad range of needs through a variety of gifts and giving techniques
- a partner with professional advisors to create highly personalized and effective approaches to charitable giving for their clients
- a grant maker that awarded over $7.8 million in 2005, uniting the generosity of our donors with the needs of the community
- a community leader that brings people and organizations together to create positive change.
