About [Edit]
The Partnership for Working Families develops and promotes innovative strategies to build community power and reshape regional economies to transform the lives of workers and communities.
We work to ensure that low and middle income workers and communities share in the benefit of economic growth and development in our new economy, emphasizing the creation of high quality jobs, affordable housing, environmental health, and career pipelines for shared prosperity.
We provide hands-on research and technical assistance to a growing and energized base of affiliates nationwide, currently spanning 18 established or formative groups and assisting a dozen more in community benefits coalitions and campaigns. As a Partnership, we leverage local and national resources to support these efforts, link our work through peer-to-peer learning, and share best practices and legal support across regions and industries. Our new Community Benefits Law Center promotes best practices around community benefits campaigns and negotiations, and fosters and supports progressive municipal policies that benefit working families.
