About BASA
• Offers educational programs that link people and communities to nature
• Purchases, receives or monitors land for habitat
• Undertakes habitat restoration for enhancement of fish & wildlife
• Undertakes research related to wildlife/fish and/or habitat
• Provides monitoring, restoration or caretaking activities for nature
• Provides legal, scientific, or other specialized services

Interests and Activities
BASA has conducted habitat and water quality assessments in 24 watersheds and has done instream and riparian restoration projects in six watersheds. We also provide Streamkeeper training, educational programs and public awareness events such as the Gilford Island Music Festival for the Salmon held in Echo Bay on the second Saturday in August.
