Mission

The Environmental Society was founded with the objective of studying suggesting measures to correct ecological and environmental balances that exist and also impressing on all concerned for preventing further environmental degradation.

ESM proposed to initiate an Environmental awareness generator project by having recourse to organic farming use of natural manure's from leaf mould, cattle biomass etc. which will form part of the natural environmental recycling processes.

A demonstrator model project has been set up in Veralur village Cheyyur Taluk on vacant land of about 2 acres.

It is also proposed to set up a bio gas plant, wind mill to tap renewable sources of energy. The work was taken up in July 92.

We have raised and harvested Paddy and Bengal Gram Cereal during October to April 92.

Preliminary work has since been taken up for raising 2nd crop Paddy in about 4 acres.
