About  [Edit]

As we come to this work with an integral sustainability perspective, we believe that sustainability must be met on all layers and levels of individuals and communities (inner/mind/heart, interpersonal, community, global, etc).  Thus one of our primary missions as a group is to create bridges to enhance relationships among everyone working towards sustaining and nourishing a healthy local culture.  This could include but is not limited to:  permaculturists, educators, ritual facilitators, artists, musicians, dancers, organic farmers, resonant nonprofits, lawyers, health professionals, birth professionals, ecovillages, craftspeople, meditators, tarot readers, chefs, etc.

One of our major intentions as a group is to provide various formats (regional community gatherings, online networks, workshops,  dialogue/sharing circles, etc) for the local resiliency-oriented community to begin/continue intentionally weaving a cooperative web towards the co-creation of a thriving local culture.   We would love to hold space for people to meet and learn from each other as they form and maintain mutually beneficial relationships.

As one of our first initiatives, we would like to help facilitate the inception of an activated and inspiring Local Culture Resiliency Council that has representatives from a variety of livelihood perspectives that are all committed to sustaining local community and also includes an intergenerational spectrum of voices.  This council would meet at least monthly, sitting in a circle, to share and discuss the achievements and challenges of the local community/culture.  In some ways it feels like this will take longer to emerge than others of our offerings, but it seems central to our mission.

We will also be offering monthly sharing spaces which may take the form of gathering with music and dance and art and consciousness to build community in an informal setting.

We are also in the initial planning stages of a Regenerative Culture Day to be held most likely in September at Earthlands in Petersham, MA.  This event will bring together folks from the region to connect with each other and consider what a Regenerative Culture might look like on all different layers and levels.

And finally, we plan to have a online listserv and potentially a newsletter that highlights the local community's events and activations that reflect a regenerative culture.  We will also possibly be putting together a Resource Directory that includes organizations, schools, businesses etc that all help weave the strength of this community into a unified whole.

Please let us know if you are interested in joining these efforts.  There are only two of us presently and we could use lots of support and fresh ideas!
