About [Edit]
The purpose of the Ecumenical Eco-Justice Network is to provide educational information on environmental and ecological issues from a Christian faith perspective and to offer opportunities for leadership development in creation ministries. This web site seeks to provide resources to enable congregations, small groups, and individuals to become knowledgeable on a variety of environmental issues and encourage them to action for taking care of the Earth and all of God’s creation.
The Ecumenical Eco-Justice Network stands for ecology and justice—the well-being of all humankind on a thriving Earth.
Coming from a cluster of denominations, its constituents are convinced that caring for creation is a spiritual issue and that the environmental crisis is a challenge to Christian faithfulness.
We believe that the health of human society and the natural environment depends upon basic values of caring for all of God's creation, justice, and community. Such values translate into policy and practice to build a better future with sustainability, participation, sufficiency and solidarity.
