About  [Edit]

Star Children is a focal point of the Consortium of East Java People Against Commercial Sexual and Exploitation of Children [CSEC]. Nineteen local NGOs, and two universities make up the consortium. Consortium activities include public campaigns through posters, leaflets, a film based on the true stories of ALIT children, and discussion rallies around East Java [7 cities]. Star Children was also a facilitator and participant for victims in regional and national workshops preparing for National Action Planning against CSEC, SAMIN/UNICEF/Department of Women`s Empowerment of Indonesia [2002]. Star Children is involved in data base development and monitoring for CSEC victims in Surabaya base on the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and Huridoc system.
