At the Claude W. and Dolly Ahrens Foundation, we strive to meet
the needs of the communities of central Iowa.
The Ahrens Foundation was founded in 1993 by the late Claude
W. Ahrens. Mr. Ahrens enjoyed a long, successful business career
and desired to return some of the fruits of that labor, particularly to
his native Grinnell, Iowa area, with specific support to his special
interest in parks and recreation.
"Leave it better than you found it" is the philosophy that best
describes Mr. Ahrens' intentions. That philosophy is the
cornerstone for the Ahrens family Foundation charitable grant
making programs.
