Fruto da Mata (Fruit/bounty of the Forest) is an ONG (NGO) with the privilege to be located in one of the last remaining regions of the Atlantic Rainforest in the south of Bahia, Brazil. With this privilege we have the responsibility to work toward its conservation and regeneration. Home to an astounding array of endemic species of flora and fauna, this bioregion is internationally known as a Biodiversity Hotspot.
Committed to a new model of conservation, which is inclusive of people, we believe that it is through the relationship of humans with the natural world that we can build the change we need.
