About [Edit]
Ely Conservation Volunteers undertake practical conservation projects such as vegetation clearance and path maintenance.
Day tasks on reserves are organised on about one Sunday a month. Volunteers coming out should bring a packed lunch, waterproofs, wellies, and working gloves, as the weather cannot be guaranteed, and tasks can be muddy. Tools and training in their use, will be provided. Transport to the work site will be provided from the Ely Market Square [ we meet by the Powerhouse Showroom] departing at 10 a.m. and leaving the site at 4 p.m. approx. [Come for a half day if you want ]. If volunteers wish to go to the site directly, please tell the organiser beforehand so that we can allow tools for them.
