About [Edit]
The International Society for Industrial Ecology is a community of researchers, policy makers, industrial strategists, and environmental advocates dedicated to supporting research and applications related to the emerging field of industrial ecology.
The mission of the ISIE is to promote the use of industrial ecology in research, education, policy, community development, and industrial practices. In order to accomplish this mission, ISIE seeks to build a community of interest, support cumulative learning, produce quality research, and promote social change.
The ISIE Student Chapter was formed in June 2002 at the Gordon Research Conference on Industrial Ecology. The ISIE Student Chapter has evolved from an informal network of IE students into an official extension of the ISIE, with an established organizational structure and charter and a significant student membership base around the globe. The goals of the ISIE Student Chapter are to provide students with opportunities for networking, research collaboration and career development, to ensure that students play an active role in the advancement of the ISIE and to facilitate student participation and contributions at ISIE functions.
