ICRARD developes innovative ICT solutions to eradicate poverty in rural Africa. this is done through capacity building, applying existing ICTs and developing suitable ICT solutions that best suit the needs of our targets. ICTARD uses the bottom up approach to ascertain the expectations and real needs of the target group. We then select the best solution from those practiced worldwide. ICTARD currently is implimenting an Agricultural project in Uganda using world space radios and internet to disseminate information to rural farmers. Another component is using village phones to improve on communication between the rural farmer groups and the district farmer organisations. In a nutsheel, that is ICTARD.
