About  [Edit]

A project of Earth Island Institute, EcoPerspectives has as its mission furthering global sustainability. EcoPerspectives conducts research and disseminates information relating to environmental and ecological issues.

Specific areas of interest include preservation and enlargement of wildlands in the Eastern United States, the French nuclear industry, and green tourism, in particular in Kentucky.  Much of its work is done through the Web.  In addition to its basic web site http://www.earthisland.org/yggdrasil it manages a web site on eastern wildlands:  http://www.primalnature.org, and on the French nuclear industry: http://www.francenuc.org .  The PrimalNature site includes a guide to old growth areas throughout the eastern United States.  The nuclear site includes a presentation of the French nuclear infrastructure.
