About  [Edit]

Founded in 1990 by two teenagers, YES! is a nonprofit organization that connects, inspires and empowers young changemakers to join forces for a thriving, just and sustainable way of life.  Our three program areas are Global Leadership Jams, Leveraging Privilege for Social Change, and Supporting Aligned Movements.  We work at the meeting point of internal, interpersonal, and systemic transformation.

YES! has spoken to more than 650,000 students and organized more than 90 week-long gatherings for visionary young leaders from 65+ nations.  Alumni surveys have shown that, among other things, 94% of Jammers gained valuable skills and perspectives that ehanced their life.  Alumni have also started more than 400 non-profit groups working for positive change and have immeasurable impact within the organizations and communities they serve.

YES! is a vibrant and dynamic body of people – staff, constituents, and supporters – on a learning journey, seeking to live and work more consciously in alignment with our values.  Some of our current conversations and endeavors include: creating meaningful relationships for true social change, operating internally on principles of collective leadership, and exploring deeper global partnerships that honor local wisdom.

Our Mission

YES! connects, inspires and empowers young change-makers to join forces for a thriving, just, and sustainable way of life for all.

How We Work

We incubate exploratory and innovative programs, remaining open to the evolving needs and opportunities of our constituents and our world. We seek to facilitate growth and positive change on three simultaneous and deeply interconnected levels: the inner, the interpersonal, and the global.
