About  [Edit]

MISSION

Believing in the value of healthy moose populations for all Alaskans, the Alaska Moose Federation will be the leader in the effort to both initiate and maintain the quantity and quality of Alaska’s moose population.

PROGRAMS

- Moose trans-planting

- Cow and calf protection programs

- Habitat enhancement using machines and controlled burns

- Road and railroad protection

- Continual education to all Alaskans of the benefit of healthy moose populations

AMF is a wildlife conservation organization with an emphasis on moose. It defines conservation as a state of harmony between people, land and wildlife, and acknowledges that good conservation often is a fluid and elusive balance. It advocates sustainable, ethical use of resources and seeks common ground among stakeholders. AMF celebrates outdoor and rural lifestyles and values within Alaska culture growing ever more distant from the land.
