Everyday people, working together, can gain power by organizing to improve their community and their country.



NTIC's mission is to build grassroots leadership and strengthen neighborhoods through issue-based community organizing.



Neighborhood residents are the experts on the needs of their own neighborhoods. That's the radical idea that led to the formation of the National Training and Information Center almost 30 years ago (1972).





NTIC provides training and technical assistance to a wide range of groups, which are generally low income and either engaged in or willing to move towards community organizing.



NTIC works with a number of organizations, including:



Neighborhood and faith based organizations

Rural groups on family farm issues

Urban inner city neighborhood organizations

Youth and senior citizens groups

Disabled rights organizations

Women's leadership development groups

Tenants rights groups

Native American organizations
