Introduction :

The founding of Society For Human Actions & Rights Everywhere (SHARE) is proposed for the greater good of humanity, and subsequently initiated on January 25, 2005, and provided support for, the establishment of such a body on February 04, 2006. Accordingly, Society For Human Actions & Rights Everywhere (SHARE) is registered at February, 2007 with Social Welfare Directorate- Kishoregonj, Ministry of Social Welfare, the Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh under The Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration & Control) Ordinance, 1961, vide registration no. Kish-729 dated 26^th February, 2007.

SHARE is organized and is operated exclusively for charitable, voluntary, non-profitable, non-political, developmental and non-governmental purposes in Bangladesh. It aims to be purposeful and dynamic, making real contributions to social improvement schemes on a local and national scale in close collaboration with all community. SHARE works for the human & socio-economic development for a congenial society; creation equitable opportunity of the underprivileged & unemployed people of Bangladesh and for the establishment of their basic rights in the society.

Society For Human Actions & Rights Everywhere (SHARE) is a bureaucracy-free and simple. Its development area is located within Kishoregonj district and it calls its area of inception, i.e., Batkila as its laboratory area. It has a liaison office in Dhaka located at House-19 (3^rd Floor), Road-18, Sector-13, Uttara, Dhaka-1230.

Objectives :

Society For Human Actions & Rights Everywhere (SHARE) adopts as its mandate the following objectives to improve community development, popular participation, women’s participation in development, women empowerment, youth development, children care, gender discrimination, self help, human resource development, promotion of democracy, promotion & protection of human rights, good governance, poverty reduction, population, education, health (with the approval of Health Department), nutrition, agriculture, plantation, environment, emergency relief & rehabilitation, religion, culture and, to a limited extent, innovative projects.

Program Components :

Program components are divided into Package I : Community Based Development Programs and Package II : Revenue Generating Programs at the grass-roots level.

Package I : Community Based Development Programs are Awareness Generation Program (AGP), Women Development Program (WDP), Child Welfare & Development Program (CWDP), Disable Rehabilitation Program (DRP), Self-help Support Program (SSP), Community Health Program (CHP), Water & Sanitation Program (WSP), Forestation & Environment Program (FEP), Community Agriculture Program (CAP), Community Education Program (CEP), Human Rights & Legal Aid Program (HRLAP), Emergency Relief Program (ERP), Sacrifice Animal Program (SAP), Iftar Feast Program (IFP) and Gift Distribution Program (GDP).

Package II : Revenue Generating Programs are Training Trades Program (TTP), Poultry, Dairy & Fishery Program (PDFP), Formal Education Program (FEP) and Deluxe Products Program (DPP).

Activities :

Society For Human Actions & Rights Everywhere (SHARE), as per its approach of totality, implements comprehensive program activities covering alls possible sectors of development. These include :

i) Awareness Generation Program

ii) Child Welfare & Dev. Program

iii) Community Health Program

iv) Self-help Support Program

v) Sacrifice Animal Program

vi) Iftar Feast Program

vii) Gift Distribution Program

It may be also specially noted here that Self-help Support Program has been provided to the poor, needy, distressed community for their income and employment generation. With this support, beneficiaries run a variety of activities like small trading, rickshaw, van, poultry, fishing, netting, sewing, vegetable production, etc.
