About [Edit]
"Working for an equitable and peaceful world in which the diversity of natural
ecosystems and human communities can thrive together."
"Gather with Friends and Make the Earth Charter A Turning Point for Earth"
The Earth Charter Community Alliance (ECCA) was formed in 2002 through the efforts of The Institute for Ethics and Meaning in Tampa Florida, led by Jan Roberts. ECCA provides support to an ever-growing network of Earth Charter Summit Leaders who organize many events through the year, especially an annual Earth Charter Summit to introduce people in their communities to the principles of the Earth Charter and to animate local implementation of the Earth Charter principles. These individuals represent key sectors of society including: business, religious and spiritual groups, the academic community, citizen's groups, labor groups, professional associations, the media, and many others.
